Ford may limit Shelby GT350, GT350R Mustang production to 5,500 cars/year
With 526 horsepower and a screaming redline of 8250 rpm, Ford wisely left the GT350's naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V8 and six-speed manual transmission alone. The latter is a vast improvement.

The firing order and the exhaust flow is also an added benefit and the one Ford keeps mentioning. The headers are different on the 5.2 compared to the ones on our cars in order maximize that flow. So far the tachs in the GT350 show a redline of 8200 rpm's.
