My 2010 Ranger Xl has the base, silver painted 15x7 steel wheels with 225/70R15 tires. I was think of looking for a set of later 5 lug Mustang factory aluminum wheels, like the Bullits, Mach 1, or GT wheels. Maybe even the early 70`s chrome steel Magnum 500`s. Has anybody installed such wheels on thier late model Ranger, and how do they fit?

Any 5 lug mustang wheel will work on a ranger. Depending on tire size you may or may not need spacers in the front. As long as you get the 5 bolt pattern, you'll be okay. The 4 bolt pattern from 79 - 93 Mustangs will not fit. 94 and up Mustangs, and 89 and up Thunderbirds will fit. Crown Vic wheels will fit.

The wheels fit fine, but since the 2wd Ranger uses greasable style front wheel bearings rather than slip on rotors with sealed hub bearings,similar the a FWD car, the Mustang wheels have a shallow center cap. So that means that the Rangers front rotor hub sticks out thru the wheels center hole, so the factory Mustang center cap won`t fit.
