Keep in mind, putting a bigger engine in the Tacoma doesn't suddenly make it able to two/haul more. You'll find a ton of info on the 2UZ (4.7L V8) swap for the 1st Gen Tacomas. I believe there are parts from 2nd Gen Tacoma/4th Gen 4Runner that are more or less plug and play (transmission and such) since the V8 was offered in the 4Runner.
